• We paint the field with lines, hashes, gaks

• We help load the buses

• We pass out water and snacks during football games

• We clean the Color Guard's storage spaces

• We help the pit players move their instruments from the truck to the front of the field for rehearsal

• We set up and put away chairs and stands for every Hoop Band and Concert Band rehearsal

• We help set up and tear down equipment for Hoop Band performances

• We obtain water for Hoop Band performances

We hold receptions for the musicians after their concert is over. We provide them with a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere and congratulate them on a job well done by providing them cookies, cheese, crackers, water, and juice.

We help run several audition days for high school seniors and UMass students applying to the Music Department for a Music Major or Minor. We sign them in, bring them to a practice room before their audition, and deliver them to their audition room when it's time.

We help run the annual Honor Band Festival. This provides hundreds of New England's finest wind and percussion students the opportunity to perform wind band literature of the highest caliber. By making music with and learning from Professor Westgate, Dr. Anderson, other Department faculty, and a special guest conductor, this event is of national renown.
